HAPPY TEARS

A few happy tears

For the time when we were unapologetically happy.

For the days when 18 Turkish Lira felt like unlimited wealth,

When a cup of tea, a shared meal,

And long conversations

Were enough to make the world complete.

A few happy tears

For Ali,

Whose face lit up at the sight of biryani

As though happiness itself

Had arrived at the table.

For Fahad, whose embrace carried no conditions,

No grudges.

Only warmth.

The kind that settles quietly

In the heart and stays there.

For Yosra

Who stood beside me.

When standing beside someone

Was not the easiest choice.

A few happy tears.

For friends who celebrated my dreams

Before they became achievements,

Who watered fragile hopes

When they were still only seeds.

For every  message of encouragement,

Every unexpected kindness,

Every hand extended

When the road seemed long.

And a few happy tears

For the future.

Not because it has arrived,

But because it still visits me

In the form of possibilities.

Because some dreams,

Even before they come true,

Have a way of making the heart smile.

These teras are not for sorrow.

They are an ode

To small mercies,

ordinary miracles,

and fleeting moments

that turned out to be very things

that made life beautiful.
