Writing has never been an easy job. Look through the history and you will see the names of many legends who were not appreciated much in their lifetime. But now are the times when the world has actually changed at many avenues. Lifestyle, use of technology and end of ‘getting-published-woes’ of the writers. Now you actually don’t have to live miserably just because you are a writer.

With an ease of access to technology, eBooks are more popular in demand and they do pay off. Another form of writing, that is, article writing has gained immense popularity as there are thousands of sites in the online world who need the expert writers to boost their business. Thus, article writing remains one of the best internet marketing strategy. Jeff Goins in his book has explained how it is a myth that artists starve.

But have you ever noticed that the audience look at the title of your article before actually delving into the details to get convinced?

How many of you article writers out there actually work on the title? Or better still, how many of you actually come up with a good idea to plan your article?

Many amateurs are largely dependent on the information that was given by their clients. But if you have that ‘Wild Writer’ raging inside you; you will never be satisfied with the given restrictions. Some of you even get stuck at writing for the themes for which they feel nothing, to compensate for the finances of living.

The greatest advice for you is to, keep searching and looking for the work that caters to your individual taste. It might take some time, but as I always say that consistency is the key. Many people start with the same enthusiasm but very few continue and pass over the hard times. And only those who didn’t give up during those struggling days are actually the winners at the end of the day.

Here, today, I will share some basic tips with you to come up with an interesting topic for your article.

1. Look Around You

Obviously, if you are living in these modern times then you are somewhat a social networking sites addict. Believe or not, these platforms can prove to be one of the best sources for the article writing topics. Whether you are a liberal or conservative, you will be able to find enough material for your write up. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others are good discussion forums for current topics. You can also join the conversation to gain a deeper insight. So just don’t waste your time in just scrolling through your social media sites rather use them for your research.

2. News Sites

And while you are already using social media for your daily dose of addiction, why not spend 10 minutes every day browsing through your favourite news sites. Subscribe to your favourite sites through your smartphone or computer and browse through your favouirte section. You will have a daily hot topic for your own article. Once you have decided upon the topic, research it from different angles and prepare your draft.

3. Blogs

Go to famous people and writers blogs/sites. Jump to the comment section. You will be amazed how intriguing topics can be discovered in those comments. Twice or thrice in a week, make it a habit of spending some time on someone’s blog.

4. Online Forum

Another interesting platform is the forum. There are many online forums dedicated to specialized topics, join them. Be part of the discussion. Ask questions. And get your topics through these discussions.

5. Keyword

Surprisingly, just by typing a keyword in the search can reveal a potential topic.

This whole strategy can be applied to search for any topic for any type of writing.

The whole trick is to keep your eyes and mind open and keep scanning your digital work purposefully. Success will be yours.
