2020: THE YEAR OF BOOKS
I have shared my 2019 Read Books List in the earlier blog. Now I am being a little more ambitious and tried to compile a list of the books that I will read in 2020. Although I am a bit apprehensive or rather scared if I won’t be able to read anything because you never know what future holds for you. I may die tomorrow or I may get busy in other works or any other worst scenarios. But I love to stay optimistic and laugh in the face of adversities, so I am writing down the names of the books.
Such lists help me to stay focused. One of the bad habits that I am overcoming gradually is to forget my to-do-lists. Now, I make the lists, go back to it again and again and if needed, make changes to it.
So 2020 is going to be an extremely productive year. As always I am not adding the academic books to this list or maybe I should. They are also books, after all.
Again, the digital tools to read books like Kindle or smartphones, are actually lifesavers. They help in saving the time and the hustle to find a specific spot for reading.
Some of these books are classic and some I have already read but this year I want to immerse in the beauty of art again to live a dream once again. While growing up I remember reading the books of Hardy or Shakespeare or Robert Frost or Keats and felt myself to be part of their journeys. I want to live those dreams again. Two of the biggest fears I have in my life are: there are far too many books in the world that I won’t be even able to hear about, and there are far too many places in the world for me to explore. So let’s see what this year has in store and unfold for me (God! You are listening to my plight 🙂
